Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds said that Latvia plans to invest 20 million euros in a coalition of drones in Ukraine in 2024. This was reported by the publication LSM.lv.

According to Spruds, these funds will also be used to strengthen the drone capabilities of the Latvian army.


This initiative is aimed at increasing security in Ukraine and supporting its defense capabilities. Latvia also plans to involve local companies in the production of drones.


It is emphasized that this decision has affected the level of security in Ukraine and will increase the effectiveness of the Latvian armed forces.
