The state enterprise "Document" has officially announced the termination of issuing documents abroad. As a reminder, yesterday, the media reported on the order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to stop providing consular services to men of military age.
It is reported that passports can be issued to children under 12 years of age, as there is no need for biometric verification.
According to the state enterprise, this happened "for technical reasons". The time of service resumption will be announced separately. Documents will be accepted as usual.
It should be noted that Document has suspended the issuance of documents for all adults.
In addition, the Ukrainian Consulate in Poland has suspended services for men of military age - from 18 to 60 years old. An employee of the consulate said this in a comment to Suspilne.
"We are now waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For now, we have just temporarily suspended their reception. Mechanisms are being developed that will act in accordance with the law on mobilization. Now we are waiting," the publication quoted a consular officer as saying.
In turn, the Ukrainian Embassy in China confirmed the authenticity of the Foreign Ministry's order, published yesterday by the media, on the temporary suspension of all consular actions regarding Ukrainian citizens of military age.
The diplomatic mission also writes that as of today, it has suspended consular services for men aged 18-60, except for the processing of documents for returning to Ukraine.
It is stated that this was done "on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine".
