Poland takes fighter jets in the air due to Russian attack on Ukraine

Poland has taken up its fighter jets because of Russian missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. This was reported on the Twitter page of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

"Last night, intense activity of Russian long-range aviation was observed, involving missile strikes on targets located on the territory of Ukraine," the statement said.

At the same time, it was noted that all necessary procedures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace were activated.

At 8:00 a.m. Kyiv time, Poland reported that the rotation of planes had stopped.

"Due to the reduction of the threat level, regular air operations in the airspace of Poland were suspended, and the deployed forces and means returned to standard operational activities," the statement said.

The command noted that the Polish army constantly monitors the situation on Ukrainian territory and remains in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace.
