Switzerland has decided on the terms of the Global Peace Summit

Switzerland will host a two-day Global Peace Summit on June 15-16. Russia will not participate in it. This was reported by The Guardian.

The Guardian reminds that in January, Switzerland agreed to host the peace summit at the request of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Since then, a series of talks have been held with the European Union, the G7 member states, and countries such as India and China to secure their support.

"There is now sufficient international support for a high-level conference to launch the peace process," the Swiss Federal Council said in a statement.

The conference will be held on June 15-16 at the Bürgenstock resort in the canton of Nidwalden near the city of Lucerne. The summit will be aimed at creating a framework conducive to lasting peace in Ukraine, as well as "a concrete roadmap for Russia's participation in the peace process."

Russia, for its part, refused to participate in the summit because Switzerland "abandoned its neutrality."

The full list of participants has not yet been made public.
