After the "elections" of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russians in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region have intensified the filtering of the population and plan to conduct "mobilization". The invaders can recruit about 50 thousand people to their army. This was announced by the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA Ivan Fedorov during a telethon.
"Our people will be sent to the front line as much as possible, those who are in the temporarily occupied territories. What is also significant is that last year they separated conscript service for the temporarily occupied territories, so they did not hold a draft. This year, there is no mention of the temporarily occupied territories, so they are going to hold a full conscription for regular service there," said Fedorov.
He added that according to estimates of the number of people living in the temporarily occupied territories, the Russians can "mobilize" about 50 thousand people into their army.
"Today it is difficult to answer how many people it will be, but if we are talking about the mobilization potential in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, it is 50 thousand people. So, there will definitely be fewer conscripts, but they will still take our residents to their russian army as much as possible," the head of the RMA noted.
He also said that in the temporarily occupied part of the region, Russians have again deployed mobile checkpoints, in particular in Melitopol, Berdyansk and Tokmak. The number of military and dog patrols on the streets has increased.
"They stop people on the street, demand documents and check whether they are on the military register," added Fedorov.
In addition, forced passportization continues. People who do not yet have the enemy's "document" will have to pass history and Russian language exams starting July 1 to obtain it.
