Zelensky says new Russian offensive will be at the end of May or in June - CBS News

Ukraine is not ready to defend against another major Russian offensive which is expected at the end of May or in June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with CBS News.

He says that now the Armed Forces have managed to hold back Russia's offensive during the worst winter months and "stabilize the situation."

Zelensky assures that it is difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to fight against Russia because its artillery is more long-range, and Ukraine has a huge shortage of both artillery and ammunition.

"We didn't have ammunition, artillery shells, a lot of different things," he said, emphasizing that while his troops have managed to hold off the Russians so far, they are not prepared to defend against another major Russian offensive expected in the coming months," CBS News writes.
