Metro in Kharkiv resumes work after massive attacks on power facilities

The Kharkiv metro, which had been out of service as a result of a massive attack on power facilities on March 22, has been restored. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced about the possibility of resuming the operation of the metro.

"Our power engineers have done the seemingly unimaginable, and we have the opportunity to launch the subway. The subway works on all lines, with a 20-minute interval. I would like to thank everyone involved, both power engineers and transport workers, for their excellent work!" said Terekhov.

At the same time, about 200,000 customers in Kharkiv are without electricity. The city and eight communities of the region are subject to hourly power outages, and power engineers are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, said Oleh Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv RMA.
