Stoltenberg calls on allies to speed up supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the countries of the Alliance should "show political will" and provide Ukraine with the necessary amount of weapons and ammunition. Stoltenberg said this during the presentation of the annual situation assessment report.

Stoltenberg noted that the unprecedented assistance provided by NATO member states to Ukraine has helped it to survive as a sovereign independent state.

"But Ukraine needs even more support, and this support is needed now. Ukrainians are not running out of courage, but they are running out of ammunition. Together, we have the capabilities to give Ukraine what it needs, and now we need to show the political will to do so. All allies must look deeper into their stockpiles and deliver faster. Every day of delay has real consequences on the battlefield in Ukraine," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.

"This is a very important moment. And it would be a grave historical mistake to let Putin prevail," Stoltenberg emphasized.
