Shmyhal: 90% of Ukrainian exports go by sea, Polish farmers' blockade of the border makes no sense

The blockade of the border by Polish farmers is absolutely pointless, as 90% of Ukrainian exports go by sea. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a press conference.

"The blockade of the border by Polish farmers as of today is absolutely pointless, because 90 plus percent of our exports go by sea or through the Danube ports. Less than 5% goes by road," he said.

According to him, during the trip to the border, government officials proposed 5 steps for Poland to resolve the blockade, the Polish government is considering them, some of them are already in the communication of the Polish government.

Shmyhal expressed hope that "Polish farmers will understand the statistics and the reasons for their troubles, which we associate with the export of grain and food from Russia and Belarus, which must be stopped for the EU countries and Poland in particular."
