The US is preparing a new bill on aid to Ukraine: it may appear in the end of March or in April

A new bill on aid to Ukraine from the US may appear at the end of March or in April, CNN reports.

According to the news agency, House Speaker Mike Johnson met with a group of Republicans who are drafting a new bipartisan bill. It is planned to include aid to Kyiv (as well as other US partners) and requirements to strengthen the border with Mexico.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul will play a "leading role" in finalizing the document.

But, the publication clarifies, "Johnson has not yet taken any position on the plan and has not committed to voting for it." At the meeting, he told his Republican colleagues that they need to pass the US budget first. This process will be completed by mid-March.
