In Kyiv, in the Pechersk district, a shooting took place in a hotel. One person is injured. This was reported by the Kyiv police.

Thus, a conflict arose between two hotel visitors, as a result of which one of the men struck the other, and then took out a traumatic weapon and fired a shot.

"The victim was injured, and doctors provided him with medical assistance on the spot," the statement said.

The police added that the conflict between the men arose suddenly. The suspect faces up to seven years in prison for his actions.

"He turned out to be a native of Lviv region, born in 1998," law enforcement officers stated.

The police identified the offender and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Experts seized material evidence from the scene. The Investigation Department of the Pechersk Police Department initiated criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism.
