Commenting on the words of Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, who criticized Polish farmers who spilled Ukrainian grain, Polish Sejm Vice Speaker Piotr Zgorzelski said that Sadovyi "speaks the Bandera's language." This was reported by Polsatnews.
"I suggest that Lviv Mayor Sadovyi drink a glass of water before saying anything, because it often seems that the mayor speaks the Bandera's language," he said.
Earlier, Sadovyi called Polish farmers who scattered Ukrainian grain on the border "pro-Russian provocateurs."
"It's no secret that this myth of national identity is still relevant among many Ukrainians," Zgorzelski commented, adding that "there are extremes on the territory of Ukraine."
Answering a question about how he feels about the fact that protesters scatter Ukrainian grain on the road, Zgorzelski said that "such actions are the result of their desperation."
"I will always be on the side of Polish farmers, unlike the previous government. I accept that they can be driven to despair, they run farms like companies, and they are told to limit crops and fertilizers," he said.
The Sejm deputy speaker also called on Deputy Economy Minister Taras Kachka to "moderate his statements" because he was on the way to "spoil good relations."
To recap, Kachka demanded that Poles stop the protests.
"Otherwise, tomorrow Rafał Mekler (leader of Polish farmers) and his gang will start killing Ukrainians because they are Ukrainians. Unfortunately, this is not speculation. A month ago, Poland recalled the murder of the president of Gdansk because of political hatred," Kachka said at the time.
