Ukraine is facing a "critical shortage" of military equipment. It is about missiles and interceptors. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova, Bloomberg reports.
"We still have enough people willing to fight - we have no choice, in fact, we are defending our homes - but we are running out of equipment, especially missiles and interceptors. We needed this support yesterday," she said.
At the same time, she expressed optimism that American lawmakers will break the deadlock and deliver aid to Ukraine, because "there is no alternative to the continuation of this support."
"I was so happy to hear that it was very strong support from both parties, of course, it's not final yet, but it's just the first step in the right direction," Markarova added, commenting on the US Senate's statement on February 8 on suppor for military aid to Ukraine.
