Starting Tuesday, February 6, schools in Sumy will be closed for quarantine due to an increase in the incidence of influenza and ARVI. This is reported by the Sumy City Council.


According to the agency, last week doctors registered 2670 cases of flu, ARVI and COVID-19 in the city. This is 28% more than the previous week.


Children account for 45% of the total number of patients, which is 1206 patients. It is also known that the number of patients with COVID-19 has decreased - 31 patients against 41. But the number of patients with influenza has increased - 68 cases against 28.


In this regard, from February 6, 2024 to February 10, 2024, all general secondary education institutions of the city will be transferred to distance education.
