Bundestag approves German state budget: 7.6 billion euros allocated to help Ukraine

The German Parliament has finally approved the country's state budget for 2024. It provides about 7.6 billion euros for military aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Bundestag.


The draft budget was voted in favor by 388 MPs of the ruling coalition, while 279 MPs voted against. There were no abstentions.


The budget provides for spending totaling 476.8 billion euros, and new loans currently amount to about 39 billion euros.


Investments totaling 70.5 billion euros are planned, for example, in the railroad network and roads. The defense budget is about 52 billion euros, plus billions from a special fund for the Bundeswehr.
