The West must ensure Russia's defeat in Ukraine, otherwise it risks being attacked by dictatorial regimes such as China. This was stated by British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps, The Telegraph reports.
According to him, regimes that do not believe in democracy are watching the war in Ukraine and may launch attacks on Western countries if they decide that they have "run out of puffs."
"Regimes that don't believe in democracy are watching us, and we have to demonstrate that the democratic way is the way that always wins," he said.
Shapps said that Britain "lives in increasingly dangerous times" and said that last month recruitment in the army more than doubled amid growing fears of confrontation with Moscow.
