According to the MP from the Committee on Social Policy, European governments that help refugees from Ukraine are interested in helping Ukrainians on their territory, not through Kyiv. This was stated by Mykhailo Tsymbalyuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Veterans' Rights, MP from the Batkivshchyna party, on Radio Liberty.
"We must realize that there are few countries that will help refugees through the government of Ukraine. Our partners help us by providing financial aid and a minimum loan rate. Therefore, it seems to me that the Ukrainian authorities should care more about how to create conditions here on our territory for citizens to return," the message reads.
Tsymbalyuk emphasized that it is important to create decent conditions for citizens to return, both materially and morally, because over time, the likelihood of Ukrainian refugee families returning decreases.
