Poland expresses readiness to help Ukraine in returning men of military age to the country

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said that his country is ready to facilitate the return of men of military age to Ukraine to participate in the war, Reuters reports.

The minister reminded that Poland had previously offered Kyiv assistance in resolving this issue.

"I think that many Poles are outraged when they see young Ukrainian men in hotels and cafes and hear how much effort we have to make to help Ukraine," Kosiniak-Kamysz said.

The minister was asked how the Polish authorities would respond to Kyiv's request for help in returning Ukrainians home.

"Any support is possible," he replied.

As a reminder, as of January 2024, about 4.3 million Ukrainians live in the countries of the European Union, of whom about 860,000 are adult men.
