Daria Trepova, who was detained on suspicion of the murder of Vladlen Tatarsky, was sentenced to 27 years in prison. This was reported by the SOTA Telegram channel.
She was found guilty under articles on terrorism, forgery and transportation of explosives. The prosecutor demanded 28 years in prison.
Trepova pleaded guilty to only one of the charges - using a fake driver's license.
"According to the totality of crimes, in accordance with parts 3 and 4 of Article 69 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Trepova's final sentence shall be determined by partial addition of the sentences in the form of imprisonment for 27 years to be served in a general regime penal colony with a 2-year restriction of liberty, and a fine of 600 thousand rubles," the judge said when announcing the sentence.
It should be noted that Trepova's sentence is the most severe for a woman in Russian history. Previously, the maximum sentence was 25 years in prison. At the same time, current Russian legislation does not provide for life imprisonment for women.
Trepova's defense intends to appeal the verdict.
Dmitriy Kasintsev, in whose apartment Trepova was detained, was also given a real term. He received 1 year and 9 months.
