President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held phone talks with Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama. They discussed the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and more. This was reported on the President's Telegram channel.
During the conversation, the parties recognized Albania's clear position on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its support in the international arena, in particular in the UN Security Council. The Prime Minister of Albania expressed defense and political support for Ukraine.
They also discussed preparations for the Global Peace Summit, where Ukraine hopes for active support from its partners, including Albania.
President Zelensky emphasized the importance of a deep dialogue between Ukraine and the countries of the Balkan region, as well as the continuation of defense cooperation.
He expressed interest in the further development and expansion of training programs for Ukrainian military personnel in which Albania participates.
