Shmyhal announced a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Fico: They want to discuss 50 billion euros of aid from the EU

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal plans to meet with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in the coming weeks to discuss €50 billion in aid from the EU. The Prime Minister announced this on Telegram.

He noted that he expects the meeting with Fico to remove possible obstacles to the allocation of financial support to Ukraine.

The European Council summit, which may make a positive decision on the allocation of financial support to Ukraine in the amount of 50 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program, will take place on February 1.

Shmyhal emphasized that this program envisages not only the allocation of funds, but also the systemic transformation of Ukraine on its way to the EU.

He also stated that the Ukrainian government has drafted a plan and vision for this process and received comments from the European Commission, which are already being processed.
