The decision to return the draft law on mobilization to the Cabinet of Ministers for revision was a joint one. It is a common position of the parliament, government and military leadership. This was reported by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk on Facebook.
The speaker confirmed that the draft law on mobilization was discussed today in the presence of the Rada leadership, representatives of parliamentary factions and groups. The leadership of the parliamentary committees also discussed the document with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Shaptala.
According to Stefanchuk, the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, which analyzed the draft law, made a number of developments and recommendations.
"Therefore, a joint decision was made to send all the recommendations and proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. I would like to emphasize that this is a common position of all political forces, government representatives and military leadership," Stefanchuk emphasized.
