A direct free transfer will be launched from Odesa to Chisinau airport, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, announced.
Odesa authorities are implementing the "Aerotransfer" project in cooperation with the UN Development Program in Ukraine.
"Its goal is to speed up the travel of Ukrainians traveling to Chisinau International Airport. If they have plane tickets, passengers will be able to use a special transfer that will go from Odesa to the airport," Kiper explained.
This should relieve the border crossing points, especially in the area of the Mayaky-Palanka-Zruchne checkpoint, reduce the concentration of vehicles and people, and speed up the crossing procedure.
Organized passenger transportation will also reduce the load on the region's roads by passenger cars and improve the level of service in the field of international transportation, the head of the RMA believes.
"To launch the "Aerotransfer" project, we need buses to transport passengers. We are counting on UNDP's assistance in this matter," Kiper added.
