On the night of January 9, supporters of the OCU seized the Kazan Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region. This was reported by the UOC public pages.
It is reported that the parishioners were thrown out into the cold at night, and Archpriest Yevhen Vorobyov was beaten.
"Dear brothers and sisters! I ask for prayers for the Ladyzhyn Kazan Church. At night, the bandits threw the parishioners out of the church, and Father Yevhen was beaten," the UOC parishioners reported.
Footage of the assault on the church fence with a bulldozer was published. This is not the first attempt to seize this church.
It is worth noting that on November 10, 2023, a meeting of supporters of the OCU was held in Ladyzhyn, who voted to transfer the Kazan parish. Then, on November 13, another meeting was held in the church, at which the faithful voted to remain with the UOC.
