Dozens of German farmers have arrived in Berlin ahead of demonstrations against the government's plans to cut subsidies. This was reported by the Berliner Zeitung.


The convoy arrived at the Brandenburg Gate, where the protests are planned, on Sunday at 18:30 Kyiv time.


Demonstrations in Berlin will lead to the closure of the main highway that connects the center of the capital and the western suburbs. Significant traffic difficulties are expected on Monday due to the protests.


The Ministry of Transport of the eastern state of Brandenburg has expressed outrage over possible difficulties in the delivery of goods. To reduce the likelihood of problems, the government lifted a ban on truck traffic on January 7, which had been in effect on all Sundays and public holidays.


Hamburg city authorities also warned of possible traffic chaos, as farmers from Schleswig-Holstein are expected to rally.
