Germany is not yet ready to supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles, German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said, Bild reports.
"We strongly condemn the actions of the Russian army and the orders of Russian President Putin. The massive attacks on civilian infrastructure are a war crime and absolutely disgusting," he emphasized.
When asked whether these attacks prompted the decision to transfer long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, the spokesman said that "there is no news on this yet."
"So far, the Federal Republic has not delivered any Taurus missiles to Ukraine. We are closely monitoring the situation and acting accordingly," he added.
"The German government, as well as the allies, is giving what they can," Hebestreit said, and reiterated the three principles of aid: to help with all forces, to prevent NATO and Germany from being directly involved in the war, and to provide support in close coordination with allies, especially the United States.
