Shelling damaged energy infrastructure in Kherson: 70% of residents are without electricity

Yesterday's Russian shelling in Kherson severely damaged the energy infrastructure. 70% of subscribers are left without electricity. This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson RMA.

According to him, power engineers are already working. They are currently determining the extent of the damage, after which emergency repair work will begin immediately.

"It's hard to say when they will be completed. However, experts are doing everything possible and impossible to restore power as soon as possible," wrote Prokudin.

The Ministry of Energy clarified that 93.7 thousand consumers were cut off, and 98.4 thousand customers are now without electricity in the city.

According to the ministry, a neighboring settlement was also affected, with 1.7 thousand customers without power. In total, 46 settlements in the region are without power, with 28.2 thousand metering points.

In addition, two 35 kV overhead lines in Kherson were cut off as a result of the shelling, which complicated the operation of the CHP. However, according to the Ministry of Energy, power engineers are working to ensure that there are no interruptions in heat supply.
