Air Force denies rumors that F-16s may appear in Ukraine by the end of this year

The Air Force has denied rumors that F-16s could appear in Ukraine by the end of this year.

The spokesman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ihnat said that the fighters will be delivered when the appropriate infrastructure is built in Ukraine and pilots and technicians complete training.

At the same time, some Russian publics have been writing overnight that allegedly some F-16s have already been hit at the airfield in Odesa. Ihnat denied this.

"I get such questions from my colleagues every day: "Well, off the record, tell me, are they there?". People want to believe that they are in Ukraine. Well, the enemy believed it, and the enemy is "destroying" them," he said.

Earlier, we reported that Ukraine is likely to receive the first batch of F-16 fighters by the end of 2023, according to analysts at the Institute for War Studies. This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
