Azerbaijan's new response to proposals for a peace treaty with Armenia

Azerbaijan has sent the Armenian side a response to the latest proposals for a peace agreement. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in the Minval.az publication.

According to the minister, the negotiation process continues and the package of proposals that Azerbaijani diplomats have been working on for a month has been handed over to Armenia.

"We are really looking at the peace process. But we have to understand that a peace treaty is not a complete solution to all issues. The peace agreement is the foundation for further discussions. It is at least the conditions for the formation of normal neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Bayramov said.

He noted that Baku has recently been receiving positive signals from Yerevan, but is waiting for real action from Armenia on the peace process.
