The Netherlands plans to deploy 18 F-16 aircraft to Romania by the end of the year to train Ukrainians

The F-16 fighter jets promised by the Netherlands, which are needed to train Ukrainian pilots, will be delivered to Romania before the New Year. This was stated by General and Commander of the Dutch Armed Forces Onno Eichelsheim in the NOS publication.

He expects that there will be 18 planes in total. Until now, it was always about 12-18.

"Now we assume that they need 18, and we are planning for that as well," Eichelsheim said.

He expects that Ukrainians will be able to receive training from the beginning of next year. The aircraft remain the property of the Netherlands. There are 42 of them in the Netherlands.
