Trump could derail agreements between congressmen on aid to Ukraine - Politico

Former US President Donald Trump may derail the congressmen's agreement to provide Ukraine with money in exchange for strengthening border policy. This was stated by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (Democrat) in an interview with Politico.

"He represents a huge political force in this party. And the question is, will they do the right thing, even though they know that Donald Trump will attack them in the most disgusting and vicious way?" - Schumer said.

He expects about five Republicans to support the deal, 15 to vote against it, and others could be swayed by Trump as the presidential primaries officially start next month.

"They know that it is right to give aid to Ukraine. And they know that we need to do something on the border. And we are ready to meet them halfway. But they also have the ghost of Donald Trump," Schumer said.
