Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he is not going to give up his goals within the framework of the Special military operation. He said this at an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry's board, according to Russian media.
"We are not going to abandon our goals within the framework of the 'special military operation'," he said.
He added that now "Russian troops have the initiative". According to him, in some directions the army is advancing, while in some areas the soldiers are holding the defense.
Putin also said that the Russian army "debunked the myth of the invulnerability of Western military equipment." He emphasized that "the aggressive nature of the North Atlantic Alliance is not hidden behind defensive language."
"All Western attempts to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia have failed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost their reserves," the Russian president said.
