The wiretapping device found in one of Zaluzhnyi's offices was probably an imitation - it was made to create a provocation. This was stated by Major General Viktor Yahun, a reserve officer of the Security Service of Ukraine, Radio Liberty reports.
"As far as I know, there were no means not only for recording, but also batteries. That is, it was an imitation of a device that may have been laid for some other purpose, not for recording," he said.
Yahun noted that during Zaluzhnyi's meetings, special equipment was used to block recording devices, and the offices were regularly checked.
"After a while, they will try to throw in some audio recordings made with the help of artificial intelligence with a voice similar to Zaluzhnyi's, which will once again raise the topic of confrontation between the military and civilian authorities in Ukraine. This is probably beneficial to the enemy," Yadun said.
