The Telegraph: Ukraine and Great Britain are preparing to sign a ten-year security pact

In the coming weeks, Ukraine and Great Britain will sign a ten-year security pact. As part of this initiative, the UK will share its naval expertise to help Ukraine control the Black Sea. This was reported by The Telegraph.

According to the publication, according to the memorandum, Britain undertakes to support Kyiv in its fight against Russian aggression by providing military support focused on naval assets, as well as financial assistance and intelligence sharing.

The document will also contain promises of post-war security guarantees that will allow repelling an attack by Russia if it decides to do so again, including increased arms supplies and renewed sanctions.

At the same time, British officials told their Ukrainian counterparts, the country will focus on strengthening its maritime capabilities: Britain was impressed by Ukraine's actions in the Black Sea, where it forced the Russian fleet to retreat from Crimea.

"(The agreement) demonstrates our commitment to keeping Ukraine in the fight. It also aims to provide guarantees in a post-war world to help in the event of a repeat Russian attack," a source close to the talks said.
