Ukrainian soldiers on the front line have faced a shortage of artillery shells amid a reduction in aid from allies. This was reported by the commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Oleksandr Tarnavsky, in a commentary to Reuters.
According to Tarnavsky, the problem is mostly related to post-Soviet shells:
- 122-mm;
- 152-mm.
In particular, the shortage is felt along the entire front line.
"The volumes (of aid - ed.) we have today are not sufficient for us today, given our needs," Tarnavsky said.
Exhausted Ukrainian soldiers on the southeastern front, according to the commander of the Tavria OSG, have switched to defense in some areas, but are trying to attack in others.
"In some areas, we have moved to defense, while in some areas we continue to take offensive actions - by maneuvering, firing and advancing. And we are preparing our reserves for our further large-scale actions," Tarnavsky explained.
