The Polish side continues to block the movement of Ukrainian trucks in three directions, but there is a positive trend of increasing the throughput at the recently unblocked Yagodyn checkpoint. This was announced by Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service, during a telethon.
According to him, Polish carriers and farmers continue to block the checkpoints in Rava-Ruska, Krakowiec and Shehyny.
As of the morning of December 15, according to Polish border guards, there are approximately 2,600 trucks in queues in these three directions towards Ukraine. Most of them are in front of the Shehyny checkpoint.
"But I can say that there is a quite good, positive trend at the Yahodyn checkpoint. As you know, it was unblocked on December 11. Gradually, the cargo flow was increasing every day. Yesterday, more than 1,200 trucks crossed the border in both directions. More of them crossed in the direction of Ukraine. And these are actually the figures that were before the blockade on November 6. Of course, there are still a large number of vehicles in the queue (1700 in Poland towards Ukraine), but if such traffic continues, it will allow for faster border crossing in both directions," said Demchenko.
Similarly, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that representatives of Slovak carriers have unblocked truck traffic entering Slovakia at the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint for an indefinite period.
"Since the end of the blockade, as of 09:00 on December 15, almost 60 trucks have been registered for departure from Ukraine through the Uzhhorod checkpoint, and another 1065 are in the electronic queue to leave Ukraine," the statement said.
