Ukrainian security forces have searched the Spanish property of former Odesa military commissar Yevhen Borysov, the State Bureau of Investigation reports.
"SBI officers, together with local police, conducted searches in the Spanish real estate of the former head of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV of Odesa," the statement said.
The searches were conducted at a €4 million villa in Marbella, Malaga province, and a €500,000 office. Documents of ownership were seized. Spain arrested the property at the request of the SBI.
"It has been established that he purchased two properties in the city of Marbella, Malaga province, Spain. In particular, in December 2022, he organized the purchase of a house worth more than EUR 4 million in the name of his mother, with a total area of 857 square meters on a land plot of 1530 square meters. Also, in February 2023, he and his wife purchased an office space worth more than 500 thousand euros with a total area of 223.9 square meters," - reports the SBI.
Borysov himself has been in custody since the summer on suspicion of corruption.
