Mass poisoning of students in Poltava: 27 people were hospitalized

Students of the Yaroslav the Wise Institute of NLU have been massively poisoned in Poltava. Currently, 27 people have been hospitalized. This was reported by the head of the Poltava RMA, Pylyp Pronin.


"According to preliminary information, 27 people were hospitalized with poisoning at night. These are students of the Yaroslav the Wise Poltava Law Institute of NLU," he said.


According to the head of the RMA, they probably all ate at the canteen of Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuri Kondratyuk. An outbreak of acute intestinal infection has been registered.


"The causes of the incident are being established. A specialized commission has been set up, and experts from the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the police are working on the ground. An epidemiological investigation has been launched. The canteen is also being checked," Pronin added.
