The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, while on a visit to the United States, said that Ukraine has a "big risk of losing the war." He said this while discussing the US aid package to Ukraine, which has been blocked in the US Congress since September, Voice of America reports.
"If the aid that is being discussed in Congress is simply postponed, there will be a great risk that we will remain in the same position as we are now. It will become impossible to attack, and there will be a great risk of losing in this conflict," Yermak said on December 5 during a speech, adding that Ukrainian troops, although highly motivated, are forced to move to defense.
He emphasized that it is not only about military aid: budgetary support is also important, because thanks to it "we are alive, our country is alive."
"It is critically important that this support is voted for in Congress and voted for as quickly as possible," the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine concluded.
