Heating season: The President's Office says Ukraine is ready for cold weather

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Rostyslav Shurma believes that Ukraine is ready for the heating season. Shurma said this in an interview with Ekonomichna Pravda.

"First, fuel reserves, coal and gas are normal. The condition of generation and transmission equipment is also normal," Shurma said.

Shurma emphasized the readiness of nuclear power plants, which plan to operate at maximum capacity, and the power engineers have successfully restored power units of thermal and gas power plants that were damaged by Russian attacks.

In the interview, Shurma also pointed to the restoration of transformers and key equipment for energy transmission through the grid.

He noted that this is a huge step towards readiness for the heating season.

Despite his role in the Office of the President, Shurma said that addressing the main issues of the heating season requires a joint effort, including the work of the Ministry of Energy and other institutions and infrastructure.
