Ministry of Reintegration: 4337 Ukrainians are held captive by the Russians

There are currently 4337 Ukrainian soldiers and civilians in Russian captivity. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.


The commission of the ministry established that 4337 Ukrainians were taken prisoner by Russia - 3574 military and 763 civilians. Based on the results of the research, data on prisoners are entered into a unified state register.


The Ministry says it pays one-time and annual financial assistance.


Since the beginning of 2023, UAH 422 million has been paid to those released from captivity, as well as to relatives of prisoners of war, civilian hostages, and political prisoners.
