Denmark has handed over unique SeaBat maritime drones to Ukraine. This equipment will be important for military sailors. This was stated by Roman Goncharenko, Head of the Hydrographic Service of the Ukrainian Navy.

According to Goncharenko, the main task of the multibeam echo sounder is to collect accurate data about the sea day and the marine environment. After that, it can be processed and used to create and update nautical charts and tablets to support safe navigation in the area.

"The received bathymetric information allows us to know the depths of the bottom with density through every centimeter. Accordingly, we can know the existing underwater obstacles, choose the right places to anchor our vessels, passage options, and routes for vessel transits," he explained.
