The US Senate has voted to pass a bill to fund the work of the US government without allocating additional aid to Israel and Ukraine, CNN reports.

"The Senate passed a bill to keep the government running," the TV channel said.

According to the channel, 87 senators voted in favor of the bill, while 11 voted against it.

The legislation finances the government at current spending levels and sets out the dates for the end of funding. Approximately 20% of the federal government will be funded until January 19, and the remaining 80% until February 2.
