Slovakia reorganizes aid to Ukraine: Abandonment of military stocks in favor of humanitarian support

Slovakia stops providing military aid to Ukraine from its own stockpiles. However, the country will continue to supply goods of other groups and categories as part of its support. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia.

During yesterday's meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak spoke about Bratislava's innovations in aid to Ukraine, which reflects Russia's large-scale military aggression.

"Defense Minister R. Kaliniak informed the NATO Secretary General about the termination of military aid to Ukraine from Slovakian stocks," the publication says.

At the same time, the ministry states that despite this, Slovakia offers the Ukrainian side "a fairly wide range of humanitarian, civilian and technical non-lethal assistance."

"Foreign partners fully respect the decision of the new government," the Slovak Defense Ministry added.

The Slovak ministry also noted that the issue of future assistance to Ukraine from Bucharest was one of the main topics of Kaliniak's talks with Stoltenberg in Brussels, which took place on the eve of the meeting of EU defense ministers.
