Yesterday, 826 foreign citizens were evacuated from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing to Egypt. This was reported by an Egyptian border guard to CNN.
This was the largest number of people to leave the Gaza Strip in one day since the outbreak of the war.
At least nine wounded Palestinians also crossed the border into Egypt, a government official said.
Rafah is the only crossing open during Israel's siege of the enclave, making it key to regional efforts to deliver aid and evacuate people, the publication said.
