Border blockade continues: Ukraine has not received demands from Polish strikers

Ukraine has not yet received the official demands of the Polish strikers, who began blocking the three largest automobile checkpoints on the border on November 6, but is open to dialogue. This is stated in the commentary of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.

The Ministry is in constant communication with the Embassy in Poland, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, the European Commission, Ukrainian carriers and border services to find a way out of the situation.

"According to the information available from media and social media reports, the demands include the abolition of transport visa-free travel, i.e. a return to the system of freight transportation permits, separate lanes and separate queues for trucks with EU license plates and empty trucks, and access to the "Shlyakh" system. If there is an official and reasoned position on the part of our Polish partners, we are open to a constructive dialogue. It is important for us that the interests of carriers of both countries are taken into account," the Ministry said.

The ministry said it is working to unblock the border around the clock.
