Blocking of the border by Polish carriers calls into question the existence of "solidarity corridors" - Zvarych

The blocking of truck traffic near the three largest checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border currently endangers the functioning of the "solidarity corridors" through which grain is transported to third countries. This was stated by Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Zvarych on Facebook.

Zvarych emphasized that the blocking of roads to Poland's border crossings with Ukraine is a "stab in the back of Ukraine," which is suffering from Russian aggression. Such a situation could undermine the existence of "solidarity corridors" between Ukraine and the European Union that run through Poland.

The Ambassador called on the protesters to stop blocking roads and look for other ways to express their demands that would not impede traffic across the border.

He emphasized that in times of war, such actions only benefit the common enemy - Russian terrorists - and harm the interests of not only Ukraine, but also Poland and the whole of Europe.

Polish carriers have begun blocking truck traffic near the three largest checkpoints on the border between Poland and Ukraine: "Korczowa-Krakowiec", "Hrebenne-Rava Ruska", and "Dorohusk-Yagodyn".

The protest organizers allow humanitarian and military aid to pass through for Ukraine. Polish carriers have officially registered the protest with local authorities until January 3, 2024.

The carriers put forward a number of demands to the Polish government, including the return of permits for Ukrainian carriers and stricter transportation rules under the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT).
