In Ukraine, the outbreak of hepatitis A is currently recorded only in Vinnytsia region, with isolated cases in other regions. In general, the epidemiological connection between them has not been established in the country. This was stated by Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
It should be noted that cases of hepatitis A are regularly registered in Ukraine in different regions. Hepatitis A is seasonal and usually manifests itself in the cold season.
The agency reminded that last year only 281 cases of the disease were registered in Ukraine.
According to Kuzin, most cases of hepatitis A do not have a common epidemiological connection, that is, one common source of infection, as it is now.
