The State Border Guard Service reminds that starting tomorrow, Polish carriers intend to block the movement of freight transport across the border with Ukraine.
According to the agency, traffic is planned to be blocked at the Yagodyn-Dorohusk, Krakowets-Korchova, and Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne checkpoints. Traffic is likely to become more difficult both at the entry and exit points.
"At the same time, according to available information from Polish colleagues, the organizers of such actions in Poland do not plan to obstruct the movement of buses, vehicles transporting humanitarian aid and perishable goods, as well as passenger vehicles," the statement said.
The State Border Guard Service notes that the Ukrainian authorities are taking all possible measures to normalize cross-border traffic, and the Ministry of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has initiated a meeting with all parties involved to ensure proper cross-border traffic.
