Biden vetoes bill on aid Israel without Ukraine

US President Joe Biden will block a bill to provide aid to Israel if it does not mention Ukraine. This was stated by the White House Budget Office.

Biden's veto will come if such a document is approved by the House of Representatives.

Such a turn of events would send a "terrible signal to Russia and the rest of the world about Washington's determination."

"This bill is harmful to Israel, to the Middle East region, and to our own national security," the White House said.

Earlier, Republicans introduced a bill on aid to Israel - contrary to Biden's request - that combined aid to Tel Aviv and Kyiv. Republicans propose to give $14.3 billion to Israel in a separate bill, and to consider aid to Ukraine separately.
